I’ve had a blast writing for myself here, but I’d really love to grow what I’m doing by writing for you, too!
I’m now looking to expand the Ordinary Girl brand from simply blogging for myself to writing for others in a freelance capacity, with my specialties being food, travel and health. Odd combination, I know. Let me tell you a little more about what I can bring to the table…
I’ve self-published two cookbooks, and have written extensively about both cooking and eating food on my blog. From recipe development, to writing about the deeper traditions behind the meals, I’ll tackle anything – I do come from a big Italian family, aftee all, so food had always been a pretty integral part of my life!
I’ve worked in the travel industry for several years now, and I’ve travelled to over 80 towns & cities in 25 countries in the last several years (many of those more than once). Travel writing is my biggest passion, and I love any opportunity to create content that inspires other people to get out and see the world. Some of the companies I’ve worked with in this field include Cover-More, Traveloka and MySwissAlps.com.
I also love to write about my hometown, Melbourne, and always love the opportunity to create content that showcases this amazing city. Oh, and having some industry insight certainly helps!
Before joining the travel industy, I worked in the health and wellness industry for 10 years. As a result, I’m still extremely passionate about both mental and physical health, particularly in women and children. I believe that my qualifications below combined with my first hand experience in living with depression and anxiety myself makes me uniquely qualified to write about these topics 🙂

– Several years participating in and certified to coach basketball and taekwondo
– Several more years spent working on gyms and health clubs as a personal trainer, as well as running youth exercise programs
