Green’s New & Used Furniture
713 High St, Thornbury, Melbourne

Almost two weeks ago, I popped this picture up on Instagram – my little book nook is finally being transformed into the little writers den I always wanted :) Central to getting it all together was finding a desk. Something old, something used, something worn in and with plenty of battle scars. Something with soul. I found this perfect little vintage school desk for only $19.00 in a veritable treasure trove – I went back again over the weekend just passed and thought it was a place that needed to be shared with other lovers of all things pre-loved!

Green’s New & Used Furniture is hidden in plain sight on High St, Thornbury. I stumbled upon it accidentally myself, walking from a street I’d parked my car in to lunch at Sookie La La, drawn in by the boxes of used booked out the front. Step inside and its used furniture heaven.

The bulk of it is shelving, cabinets, chair and tables, and the range is insane! Everything is clearly labelled with prices, and a lot of the shelves and chairs have been stained before being put out on the floor. There are also plenty of used books towards the front of the store, and all pretty cheap.

Highly recommend a visit while you’re in the area – you may not plan to buy anything, but I can almost guarantee you’ll walk out with the bargain you didn’t know you needed! Happy shopping!
