I’m going to be honest, this was a total fluke. This hotel could have easily been crap, because I didn’t really do much research into our accommodation. Ok, that’s a lie. I did no research. Travel agents are really rubbish at booking their own trips sometimes. I chose this one because it was central (my prerequisite) and it had a gym (Sibba’s prerequisite). It turned out to be one of the better hotels I’ve stayed in, particularly for the price (starting from around $60 per night twin share, including breakfast, in peak season!). Here are the other things you need to know…
– Rooms are quite big and spacious, very clean, and refreshed daily (we stayed in a deluxe room).
– LCD TV, free wifi, safety deposit box, hair dryer, mini-bar, air conditioning
– Buffet breakfast included (and it’s delicious!)
– 2 bottles of water daily
– Gym facilities
– Complimentary tour and city information at reception
– Excellent central location

We also found the staff to be absolutely fantastic – they were seriously so friendly and helpful! They gave us a map when we arrived and gave us some instructions on how to find a few places we were looking for. We got a smile and a “good morning” or “good evening” or “how was your day?” or the like every time we left and returned. They gave us advice on which cabs to take and which to avoid, general safety tips for two young women in a big crazy city, and were always immaculately presented and very professional. There aren’t many places at that price where you get that kind of service these days, and it didn’t go unnoticed.

If the stars align, I intend to return to Vietnam in the next few years, and I have no doubt this will be the first place I look to for accommodation – a really great experience all round!
