Through my eyes: Hoi An’s lanterns, Vietnam

Night time on Hoi An’s riverside is another world entirely, transformed to a black landscape dotted with beautiful, brightly coloured, handmade lanterns. Hoi An is renowned for these magnificent pieces, and it’s not hard to see why. A few pictures can’t possibly do them justice; it’s like walking an illuminated path through a foreign wonderland, and it’s breath-takingly gorgeous in real life.
